Assistant Principal-Kankakee Valley Intermediate School

Kankakee Valley Intermediate School is seeking a hardworking and motivated administrator beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must have a valid Building Administrator’s license or be eligible for one. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the planning, development, organization, coordination, and supervision of instructional programs and activities.
  • Assists in providing leadership to the professional staff in determining objectives and identifying school needs as the basis
         for developing long and short-range plans for the school.
  • Assists the principal in the supervision and evaluation of classroom instruction.
  • Supports teachers who have students with behavior concerns.
  • Assumes responsibility for implementing discipline procedures as stated in the Student Handbook. 
  • Develops innovative strategies, preventative approaches, and proactive plans for students who exhibit at-risk behaviors.
  • Promotes good school-parent relationships with parents.
